I like driving cars that make neat noises. Most have high strung or throaty v8's but there is something singing to me when i drive the bulletproof 2. 5 liter 5 cylinder vw motors. Couple that to a manual transmission and i'm in love! And here it is, a one owner strong running 2009 sportwaggy. The price is right too! Yeah, it has a few dents and scuffs and the interior is a bit tired in spots but this jetta is eager to go the distance and is fully serviced and ready. We just installed new brakes and rotors, a new vacuum pump and a complete mileage specific service. Fresh emission and safety stickers will be on at the time of sale! Gander at this one owner, simple sweetie of a jetta. And look at that price! C'mon, it's only 3 years old and by the looks, it enjoyed a somewhat pampered life so far. The white paint has nearly no defects and it starts, runs and drives 100%. I just love these late model jetta. I joke all the time, especially when it comes to cars and their characteristics. Being that both my kids are either nearing, or at drivers license age, i'm focused on getting them into the safest pre-owned car for a good cost and that would be the mk5 era jetta. This particular one owner jetta does not have the full boat of needless gadgetry that the sel version does. But it does have 6 airbags, stability control, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and a super-safe structure that has earned it the highest rated car in its class. We also just installed 4 new tires and fresh front brakes and rotors. We thought terrible two's were tough, early teens were un-manageable, and first dates were scary. At least know they will be well protected with a safe car and one that i personally drive at least 75 miles myself to ensure there are no bugs or driveability issues. In this day and age of Helicopter parenting, intolerance and snowflake producing society, it always makes we warm and fuzzy inside when I hop into a stick shifted car of any kind. Because after all, were becoming a nation of convenience and laziness, and simply dropping a car into 'drive' and pressing the 'go' pedal is seemingly much preferred to actually working a bit behind the wheel. Hopping off my soapbox, I'll confess I've put more miles on this Jetta than I should have and can attest the engine starts and runs well, the transmission snicks properly into all gears and the clutch feels excellent. Features include chilly AC, power 1-touch windows, 2-way moonrooof, cruise control, Monsoon audio, 60/40 split rear folding seats, heated power mirrors, remote lock/unlock/trunk pop key fob and much more. That's a very rare feature on ANY car of this era! The timing belt service has been done recently, I just put 4 brand new tires on and all the mileage specific services have been completed. Fresh emission and safety inspection stickers will be affixed at the time of sale and as always, warranties are available. No sign of any major impact or damage! Since vw's 'dieselgate', the older vw tdi vehicles have been very difficult to locate, let alone acquire. If one shows up at the auction, i often walk away knowing someone is going to pay big money for it. Well, one day recently, certain vw bidding competitors of mine didn't show up because it was raining (weenies) and i ended up actually bringing one home! I've kept it around for bit, enjoying its bottom end torque and outstanding fuel mileage and to be honest, i almost kept it. Literally, my driveway and garage are overflowing and this sweetie is better served by someone who will enjoy it on a regular basis. A previous owner clearly understood these tdi's and adorned it with the proper upgrades and service parts. Fresh clutch and flywheel, recent brakes all around, handbrake cables, both axles, tie rod ends, semi-fresh tires, a proper and expensive oil catch/breather upgrade and kerma tdi boost hose catch. There is no tune so the motor is essential stock! All the original panels are still in place and there is no structural damage at all. The paint work is excellent! Buy with confidence. Unlike some dealers we always disclose the severity of the very few cars we sell that do have an accident. We never sell salvage vehicles!! Hurry by for this one! Many car dealers use dumb analogies when selling vehicles, such as 'like new!!' even though a 10 year old car is 10 years removed from 'new'. Or how about 'garage kept' even though it was driven daily during the salty slushy winter. This particular one owner 2002 jetta we're offering for sale 'was owned by a little old lady'!! She always kept up with maintenance and in the last 18k miles she has had the following repairs done: starter motor, transmission service, timing belt service with coolant pump, tensioners and serp belt, thermostat. Ignition coil, plugs and wires, coil springs and a host of oil changes and incidentals. They are very hard to find, especially with a long record of strong maintenance. And here's where i'm different than other dealers... The vehicle history report shows no accidents however, there was some minor paint work done due to a dent and scratches on the quarter panel. Nothing at all structural or bad, just an attempt to keep it shiny. Lastly, the paint does glow but there are a few spots of missing clear coat on the front bumper and grill. How i absolutely looove the sound the bulletproof 2. 5 liter motor makes in these mk5 generation vw's! Couple it to a 5 speed manual, drop a gear going into the tight left hander and give it throttle... Sorry, flashbacks of my racing days. The average driver will however love al the neat features and the stellar safety record these vw's tout. No accidents but there are a few scratches here and there. For an extra $300 we'll have the rear bumper repainted as some of the clear coat is coming off. Check it out, let me know!
